Scotch enthusiasts rejoice!

Laphroaig has just announced that due to the changes in regulation put forth by the Scotch Whisky Association, they will henceforth be bottling cask strength Laphroaig in batches, and displaying the batch number and bottling date on each bottle.

What does this mean for you? Well, if you don’t drink Scotch, nothing. But if you happen to be a fan of peaty, aromatic (read: stinky) Scotch, then you are already lining up at the nearest liquor store to buy yourself a bottle. Collectors will be drooling over bottlings from specific batches, as each one will be unique in its own right, and subtle nuances will be the topic over a dram wherever the purists enjoy their libations.

Best news? Batch #1 of Cask Strength Laphroiag is already on the shelves. It’s the first of it’s kind for Laphroiag, and if you enjoy Scotch, we imagine you won’t want to miss it.
